Job Description: Operate and drive heavy tow trucks to recover and transport disabled, accident-damaged, or illegally parked vehicles from roads, highways, and job sites. Respond to accident scenes and breakdown calls in a timely and professional manner, ensuring safety and traffic control during recovery operations. Attach towing equipment properly, using winches, chains, hooks, and other tools to safely lift, secure, and transport vehicles. Perform vehicle recovery operations, including winching, uprighting rolled-over trucks, and removing stuck or immobile vehicles in all weather conditions. Transport towed vehicles to repair facilities, storage yards, or other designated locations. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the tow truck and all recovery equipment are in safe working condition. Check and maintain fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, and brakes, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to the supervisor. Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws while towing or recovering vehicles. Maintain communication with dispatchers, police, and clients, providing accurate updates about recovery operations. Prepare and complete service reports, invoices, and job documentation for each recovery or towing task.
