Job Duties: -
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Perform pre-trip en-route and post-trip inspection of vehicle system and oversee all aspects of vehicle.
- Organize trip logistics and gather required documentation to transport goods.
- Ensuring cargo is in a secure state in accordance with all safety requirements.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption and maintain logbooks either manually or electronically (Maintain logbooks).
- Interact with dispatcher, other drivers and costumers using communication devices and on-board computers.
- May perform emergency roadside repairs and may transport hazardous products or dangerous goods.
- Load and unload Goods
- Perform preventive maintenance.
Requirements:
- Secondary education required.
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A) is required
- On-the-job-training is provided.
- Language: English
