Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses -AZ class license
Documentation knowledge-Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports
Tasks
- Transporting goods safely to and from specified locations
- Maintaining an accurate record of all pick ups and drop-offs, rest periods, mileage covered, fuel consumption, and toll fees
- Ensuring that the company truck is labeled with the correct hazard class placard when transporting dangerous goods
- Appropriately planning driving routes to ensure that goods are delivered to customers in a timely manner
- Regularly inspecting and maintaining the company truck to ensure its proper maintenance
- Regularly communicating with company dispatchers to inform them of completed deliveries and delays
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
