Job title: Home Support Worker
The Aggarwal Family residing in Rockcliffe (198 Acacia Ave, Rockcliffe, ON K1M 0L6) is a well-established family with an elderly person Ms. Saroj Aggarwal urgently require 1 full-time Home Support Worker to take care of her daily needs. The applicant must be hardworking and ready to undertake the challenges of working with an elderly person with critical health conditions. The candidate shall be kind, gentle and humble. At least 1 year of work experience as a Home Support Worker, including experience caring for patients with dementia, is required.
As a Home Support Worker, your tasks and duties will include the following:
- Assists with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring from one place to another.
- Perform basic first aid and emergency care
- Monitor the elderly person behavior to ensure that no injuries occur due to falls or other accidents
- Prepare meals and feed the elderly person
- Communicate with family members regarding the elderly person’s progress
- Perform routine housekeeping duties including, laundry, washing dishes and making beds.
- Accompany the elderly person to medical appointments
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and anxiety
- Maintain records of daily care, medication intake, and behavioral changes
- Assist with managing personal hygiene products, clothing, and household supplies
- Support the elderly person with safe mobility inside and outside the home
- Observe and report any changes in physical, mental, or emotional health to family members or medical professionals
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment at all times.
