Responsibilities
- Welds and repairs truck chassis, trailers, and container frames to ensure structural integrity.
- Fabricates custom metal parts and mounts for fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Performs MIG, TIG, and arc welding on steel and aluminum components.
- Repairs cracked, broken, or worn metal sections on transportation equipment.
- Cuts, shapes, and assembles metal using torches, grinders, and welding tools.
- Interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and repair orders for welding tasks.
- Conducts routine inspections of welded joints and metal parts for safety compliance.
- Maintains welding machines, tools, and equipment in safe working condition.
- Collaborates with mechanics and technicians to support timely fleet maintenance.
- Follows workplace safety standards and transportation industry regulations during welding operations.
