Tasks
Obtain medical information from patients, family members, or other health care providers.
Assess the mental and physical health of patients by consulting with other medical practitioners.
Provide medications and treatments to patients by prescribing and administering them as needed.
Vaccinate and inoculate patients to prevent and treat disease
Provide patients with the tools to develop healthy habits, break old habits, and reshape their wellness approaches
Provide counselling and support on a variety of health and lifestyle issues to patients and their families
Providing emergency medical assistance
Provide health care advice to patients
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP).
Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
