Construction Worker

 

A well known Construction company  in Halifax,NSis looking to hire 10 construction workers for their established business. Position are full time and permanent. 

 Successfull candidates will be  paid a wage of 21.50/hour and will get around 40-45 hrs/week. Over time will be paid after 55hours/week and is 1.5 times the normal wage.

Candidate must have ability to multitask and willing to learn and work in a team.

Candidaes are required to perform following job duties

• Load, unload and transport construction materials
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Help medical examiner in charge
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
• Pave and rake asphalt
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
• Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction

Work locations are mostly noisy,dusty and candidates should be able to lift around 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Although no work experience is required for this position but having experience in similar setting is an asset

Candidates will be provided with extended medical and dental insurance.
