Elderly Caregiver

 

Mrs Grewal is looking for an understanding, loving, energetic, caring and active caregiver needed for her elderly mother who is in her 80’s at their residence located at Westridge PL., Abbotsford, BC, V2T 0E7.

Job Title: Elderly Care Giver

Position: Permanent, Full-Time 40 hours/ week.

Vacancy: 1

Start Date: As soon as possible

Language: must have good English speaking skills

Education: Secondary (High) school Graduate Certification or equivalent experience. Caregiver course will be an asset.

Experience: Not Mandatory.

Wage: C$ 24.00/hour

Work Site Environment: Non-Smoking

 

Duties to perform

• Keeping full care of sanitation and hygiene.
• Help in light physical activities, exercise and walking.
• Provide companionship by talking and help in socialization.
• Giving medicines in time as prescribed by the doctor.
• Assume full responsibility for household including laundry
• Prepare nutritious meals and special diets as prescribed by the doctor.
• Serve hot meals when the employer is not home
• May need to accompany the elderly to the doctor’s visit.
• Help in mending the bed and cleaning their bedroom.
• Inform the employer if anything unusual is found in their behavior or talks.
• When unwell may have to help in feeding the elderly.
• May have to do laundry for the elderly couple
