Looking for a Head Cook(full-time) for Squamish Samurai Sushi!

Position: Head Cook
Position Available: 1
Working Conditions:
- Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Wage: $36.60 per hour
- Working hours: 30-40 hours per week
- Working location: 40254 Glenalder Place, Squamish, BC V8B 0G2
Benefits:
- Extend medical and dental after 3 months (full-time worker)

- Vacation and Sick days will be given based on BC Employment Standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations including menu planning, food preparation, staff supervision, and inventory management etc.
- Cook and complete the dishes.
- Monitor food costs and participate in managerial meeting for it, if required.
- Control and monitor inventory for food ingredients and the conditions of appliances.
- Create new recipes and design decorative food displays.
- Ensure all kitchen staff follow work and food safety and hygiene standards.
- Oversee and plan kitchen staff training and coach based on their performance.
- Training newly hired kitchen staff regarding duties etc., if required.
Requirements:
- Language: English
- Education: Completion of high school
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of cooking experience in commercial kitchen(s).
- Completion of culinary course/program is an asset.
- Must be available to work ALL weekends and holidays
