Home Child Care Provider

 

Job Summary:

1. A private household in Woodbridge, ON is looking for a full-time Home Child Care Provider.
2. The employee is required to be flexible to cover shifts, some weekends. Overtime may be required. Hours may vary from day, night and evenings.
3. Salary: $20 per hour
4. Hours: 30 hours per week
5. Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent-free
6. Work Location: Must work in employer's home: 97 Allegranza Ave, Woodbridge, ON L4H 4S3
7. Expected Start Date: As soon as possible

 

Job Duties:

1. Oversee and attend to the needs of the children
2. Follow parental guidelines when managing children’s behavior
3. Document children’s daily routines and health-related details
4. Ensure the home remains a secure and hygienic space
5. Plan and coordinate recreational activities like games and excursions
6. Prepare, cook and provide balanced and healthy snacks, food and meals
7. Carry out basic and light household tasks and duties
8. Purchase groceries and essential household items
9. Take children to school and scheduled appointments when parents are not available

 

Requirements:

1. Completion of Secondary (High) School education is required.
2. Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.
3. First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate would be an asset.
4. Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English.
5. Must be patient, friendly, honest and reliable.
