Job Description

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for supporting the company’s growth strategy in the healthcare consulting and clinic management sector. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with physicians and healthcare organizations, and developing market strategies to expand the company’s reach across Ontario and into new regions.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conducting market research and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for clinic expansion and healthcare service delivery improvements.  
  • Developing and implementing business plans, proposals, and marketing strategies to attract new clinic partners and healthcare clients.
  • Establishing and maintaining partnerships with physicians, medical groups, and healthcare administrators to promote the company’s consulting and management services.
  • Coordinating with internal teams for clinic setup, equipment procurement, IT integration, and operational planning. 
  • Preparing project reports, financial forecasts, and business performance summaries for management review.
  • Supporting the formation and management of Family Health Organization (FHO) and Family Health Group (FHG) models in applicable regions.
  • Assisting in digital transformation initiatives such as EMR (Electronic Medical Record) integration and workflow optimization projects.
  • Monitoring healthcare industry trends, policy changes, and regulatory updates to inform business strategy and client advisory.
  • Representing the company at healthcare conferences, networking events, and business meetings to enhance corporate visibility and growth.
  • Providing input for staff training and knowledge sharing to strengthen internal capacity in healthcare business development.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, marketing, international business, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development 

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.


Assets (not mandatory)

  • Experience working with healthcare clients or within medical practice management.

  • Knowledge of Ontario’s healthcare system and regulatory environment.
