Unitek Truck Repair Inc. is seeking a skilled Electric Arc Welder to join our team. This hands-on role involves working on custom metal fabrication and repairs for trucks and industrial equipment. The successful candidate will work on-site in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Operate manual/semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment
Examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications
Perform flame cutting, brazing, and torch straightening
Operate shaping and bending machines (e.g., brakes, shears)
Cut metal using arc-air and oxygen arc cutting equipment
Repair or fabricate parts using pre-set welding/brazing machines
Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
Education: Secondary school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 to less than 2 years in a similar role
Welding techniques: ARC spot welding
Materials: Steel, aluminum alloys, stainless steel, copper, and non-metallics
Equipment: Arc and gas welding machines
Environment: Outdoors, confined spaces, dusty, hot, noisy
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Location: Work must be completed at the physical site (no remote option)
Own Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots required
Valid driver’s license required
