Dog Trainer

Fulltime: 30-44 hours/ week
Duties Include:
- Prepare food and feed animals
- Clean and disinfect cages, pens and surrounding areas
- Shampoo, clip and groom animals
- Assist with the inoculation and treatment of animals
- Assist animal breeders to handle and nurture animals
- Monitor and document animal behaviour
- Train dogs to obey commands and perform specific duties in response to signals such as, but not limited to, obedience, protection, obstacle agility, search and rescue, training animals to assist disabled persons
Experience and specialization
Dog training experience in:
Obedience, protection, canine behavious problems/modification, obstacle agility, search and rescue, training animals to assist persons with a disability
Personal suitability:
Dependability, reliability, team player
