Job Title: Food service Supervisor

Term: Permanent Full-time position

 

Wage:

-       $17.50 per hour

-       Employees shall receive overtime pay at the rate of 1½ times their regular rate for all hours worked in excess of forty four (44) hours in a week. 

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
  • Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Establish work schedules and procedures
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
  • Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets

Education and Experience

  • Secondary school completion is required.
  • College program in food service, hotel and restaurant management or several years of experience working in a restaurant is required

Physical Environment. / Requirements

  • Extended periods of time of standing
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including, days, evening, weekends, and holidays.
