Job Title: Lawyer (TEER: 41101)

No of Vacancies: 1

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time (Overtime, Weekend, if required)

Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible.

Work Address: 2575 Bute Ave, P.O. BOX 1430 Vanderhoof, BC, V0J 3A0.

Wage rate: $70.00 per hour, 40.00 hour per week

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience:  1 - 2 Years of relevant experience.

Languages: English.

Job Duties:

• Inform clients about their legal entitlements and any legal issues.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings before courts, tribunals, and boards (applicable to lawyers).
• Create legal paperwork and formulate legal opinions.
• Develop legislative documents.
• Facilitate settlements for civil conflicts (applicable to lawyers).
• Handle administrative and managerial tasks associated with legal practice.
• Provide mediation, conciliation, and arbitration assistance.
• Manage financial resources.
• Conduct educational seminars for the public.
• Contribute written content to legal publications.

Essential Skills: Reliability, Organized, good interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of Equipment: Fax, Photocopier, Computer, Printer, Scanner

Knowledge of Software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF & Adobe
