CENTURY DRYWALL LTD. is having an exciting opportunity for you, if you are skilled in Carpenter work. We are located in Vancouver, BC, Canada and in urgent need of a Carpenter.

Position: Carpenter

Terms of employment: Permanent / Full Time

Vacancy: 1

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $30/ hour for 40 hours per week

Language: English

Location: 266 E 58th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V5X 1V9

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

 

Carpenter (NOC: 72310) will have to perform all of these duties:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawing and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirement.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wooden materials, wooden substitutes, and lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, molding and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on site
• Survey building locations and levels
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.

Work Setting: Commercial, Residential

Workers Supervised: Plasterers, Drywall installers and finishers

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

• Bending, crouching, kneeling
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking
• Physically demanding.
