Job responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and administer clients’ connections with our cloud back-end server
- Support and maintain local area networks (LANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the internet and peripheral equipment
- Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications
- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to coordinate access and use of computer networks
- Provide problem-solving services to network users
- Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
- Conduct tests and perform security and quality controls
- Perform shell scripting or other basic scripting tasks
Qualifications:
- College diploma of computer science, network administration, web technology or a related field
- 1-2 year proven working experience in related field
- A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems.
- Experience in routing and firewall installation, configuration, and administration will be required.
- Knowledge of network switches, firewalls, security and routing troubleshooting
- Knowledge of IP network protocols, data flows, and vulnerabilities within a TCP/IP environment
- Skills in system administration for Windows operating systems
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in at least one of the following:
o Firewall management platforms and methodologies
o Cisco ISE and Radius technologies
o BGP dynamic routing experience
o Python scripting experience
o SQL, Java or Json experience and/or Objective C development;
Job Details:
- Wage: $30/hour, $54,600/annual
- Working hours: 35 hours /week
- Benefits offered: 2 weeks paid vacation / year
- Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
