Job Duties:
- Operate welding equipment’s to weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
- Determine weldability of materials.
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
- Estimate the workforce and other resources required for task.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material to match measurements)
- Align components using various tools such as rulers etc.
- Weld, Repair metal and other components such as pipes etc.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws and ensure quality and conformity as planned.
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
