Home Support Worker need for Senior

A full-time Home Support Worker is needed for a female senior care at employer’s home in Maple (Dufferin St/Teston Road)
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time (30-35hr/week)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care: bathing, grooming, exercise, hygiene tasks
- Basic food preparation: cooking; persuading senior to eat
- Light housekeeping; foster a safe home environment
- General health care: overseeing and administering medication per instructions
- Mobility assistance: attending doctor’s appointments and social events
- Provide companionship and emotional support for her safety and wellbeing
- Overall assistance with activities of daily life
Requirements:
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Pass medical check and non-smoking
- College. CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years or higher in education
- At least 1 year work experience in elderly care
- Ability to tend to emotional and physical needs of senior
- First AID certification
