INDICAN ENTERPRISES LTD. is looking for a “Purchase Manager” to join their venture being operated as SANGAM RESTAURANT & CATERING located in Chilliwack, BC, Canada & do the purchasing for its 6 outlets in Chilliwack,Mission & Surrey, BC.

 

Position: Purchase Manager , NOC: 0113
Terms of employment: Permanent / Full Time

Vacancy: 1

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $38 hourly for 40 hours per week

Language: English

Education: Completion of secondary school
Location: CHILLIWACK: 200 - 8705 Young Rd. Chilliwack, BC V2P 4P3

Job Description:

  • Plan, develop and implement purchasing policy and procedures for our 6 restaurants in Chilliwack, Mission & Surrey.
  • Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines etc.
  • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
  • Coordinating with Restaurant Managers to determine and manage inventory needs of individual restaurants.
  • Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards.
  • Authorize the development of specifications for products used in restaurant.
  • Review and process claims against suppliers
  • Advise management & Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Basic English communication skills
  • Education: Secondary School
  • 2-3 years of experience in related field
