Job Description

Prairie Maintenance Ltd. is seeking a full-time, permanent Design and Drafting Technologist to prepare and review technical designs, drawings, and documentation for its construction and maintenance operations in Saskatoon. The position is on site, with work performed at the physical workplace.

 

Key Responsibilities

Prepare engineering designs and drawings

Read blueprints to determine work requirements

Prepare contracts and tenders

Write technical reports

Complete documentation packages and drawing sets

Examine drawings for conformity and errors

 

Employment Requirements

• College diploma or certificate from a 1–2 year program in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant work experience.
• English language proficiency and effective communication skills.
• AutoCAD Certification and proficiency in technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong teamwork spirit and ability to collaborate with project and installation teams.
• Good project coordination, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
