Be Salon Spa is a Vancouver-based beauty salon serving a diverse and multicultural clientele. We are seeking an experienced Salon Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the salon, coordinate our team of beauty professionals, and ensure a high standard of customer service, organization, hygiene, and professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, direct and oversee the daily operations of the salon.
- Establish and implement operational procedures for the delivery of salon and beauty services.
- Coordinate and supervise salon staff and beauty professionals and organize daily workflow.
- Prepare work schedules and coordinate staff assignments according to appointments, client demand and operational requirements.
- Recruit, train and support salon employees as required.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure professional standards of service and conduct are maintained.
- Respond to client inquiries, concerns and complaints and ensure a high standard of customer service.
- Oversee appointment scheduling and coordinate client flow to support efficient salon operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and arrange for the purchase of salon products, supplies and equipment.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Ensure salon facilities, equipment and work areas are maintained in accordance with applicable hygiene, sanitation and safety standards.
- Monitor salon expenses, revenues and general operational requirements.
- Develop and implement initiatives to attract new clients, maintain relationships with existing clients and support the continued growth of the salon.
- Coordinate promotional and client engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable health and safety requirements.
Education
Completion of secondary school is required.
Additional education or professional training in salon management, esthetics, cosmetology, business administration or a related field is an asset.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in the beauty, esthetics, spa or salon industry, including 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience supervising or coordinating salon or beauty service professionals.
- Knowledge of salon operations and beauty or esthetic services.
- Strong customer service and client relations skills.
- Ability to organize staff schedules, appointments and daily workflow.
- Experience with inventory and supply management.
- Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation practices applicable to salon and personal services.
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple operational priorities.
- Experience working with a multicultural clientele is an asset.
- Portuguese language skills are an asset due to the salon's client base.
