Home Support Worker

 

Employer is seeking a dependable Home Support Worker to provide personal care, companionship, meal preparation, and assistance with daily living for an elderly couple in a private home. The position is on-site in a non-smoking, urban residential setting.  Full time position but shifts may varry between Morning, Day and evening, depending on appointments etc. 

Requirements

• English language ability
• No degree, certificate or diploma required
• 7 months to less than 1 year of related experience
• Reference required
• Must be able to work on-site in a non-smoking home

Job duties include: 

• Administer medications
• Assist with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist with regular exercise, e.g., walking
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
