Job Responsibilities

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the Esso gas bar and Waypoint convenience store.
• Assign duties to employees, prepare work schedules, and coordinate staff activities to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
• Monitor employee performance and ensure staff follow established store procedures, customer service standards and operational requirements.
• Provide customer service, respond to customer inquiries and complaints, and resolve service issues in a professional manner.
• Operate and oversee point-of-sale systems, cash registers and various payment transactions; balance cash and verify daily sales.
• Monitor gas-bar operations, assist customers with fuel services, and ensure the pumps and surrounding forecourt are maintained in a safe and orderly condition.
• Receive and verify deliveries of fuel, merchandise and store supplies, checking quantities and related documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering merchandise and replenish shelves, coolers and other retail displays as required.
• Ensure merchandise is properly priced, labelled, displayed and rotated, and remove damaged or expired products from sale.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the convenience store, checkout area, storage areas and gas-bar/forecourt area.
• Prepare and maintain daily records and reports relating to sales, cash, inventory, fuel transactions and other store operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, workplace health and safety procedures, loss-prevention practices and applicable regulations governing retail and gas-bar operations.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures as assigned, ensuring the store, cash registers, merchandise displays and gas-bar operations are properly prepared for business.
