Job Duties:
- Consult with clients to determine their preferred haircut, hairstyle, beard style, or grooming service.
- Cut, trim, and style men's and clients' hair using scissors, clippers, razors, and other barbering tools.
- Perform fades, tapers, trims, line-ups, and other hairstyles according to client requests.
- Trim, shape, and shave beards, moustaches, and sideburns.
- Perform straight-razor shaves and other facial grooming services.
- Shampoo and condition clients' hair and provide basic scalp and hair-care services.
- Recommend appropriate hairstyles, grooming products, and hair-care products based on clients' needs.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain barbering tools, equipment, workstations, and service areas in accordance with health and sanitation requirements.
- Maintain appropriate records, manage appointments, and process payments when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Provide courteous customer service and respond to clients' questions and requests.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- May assist with opening and closing the shop, maintaining inventory, and ordering barbering supplies.
