Job description:

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces before starting tile installation.

• Prepare and apply mortar, cement, adhesive and other materials to the required surfaces.

• Install tiles securely, ensuring proper alignment, spacing and straightness.

• Measure, cut and fit tiles around corners, openings, fixtures and other obstacles using appropriate hand and power tools.

• Apply grout between tiles and clean excess material after installation.

• Repair or replace broken, cracked or damaged tiles as required.

• Install mosaic tiles and create decorative patterns and designs on walls and floors.

• Prepare underbeds and install necessary supports, anchors, wires and brackets.

• Cut, shape, polish and install marble, granite and other stone materials.

• Estimate the quantity of materials and approximate costs required for tile and stone installation projects.

• Mix, install and polish terrazzo surfaces.

• Install tile borders, strips and other finishing materials to complete the project.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Location: 5000 Yonge Street Suite 1901, North York ON, M2N 7E9 (Work locations may vary, Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee)
• Salary: $37.00 hourly / 30 hours per week
• Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
• Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in similar role.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills, with a high standard of customer service.
• Perform physically demanding tasks including bending, crouching, kneeling, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
• Handle heavy materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards.
• Demonstrate accuracy, sound judgement, and reliability in all tasks.
• Exhibit punctuality, teamwork, and the ability to collaborate effectively.
