Sofa By Fancy is currently seeking 5 Framer-Carpenters to join our furniture manufacturing team at our facility located at 1255 Lorimar Drive, Mississauga, Ontario, L5S 1R2.

Position Details

• Position: Framer-Carpenter

• Number of Vacancies: 5

• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

• Salary: $37.00 to $40.00 per hour, to be negotiated

• Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week

• Start Date: As soon as possible

• Work Location: On-site

• Work Setting: Furniture manufacturing company

• Language: English

• Schedule: Early morning, evening, shift, flexible hours, morning, night, on-call, day, or to be determined

• Overtime: Overtime required; overtime available

Education and Experience

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Construct and assemble frame structures for custom furniture designs.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise measurements and specifications.
• Select and cut materials to create sturdy and aesthetically pleasing frames.
• Collaborate with designers to align frame construction with creative concepts.
• Install hardware and support systems for enhanced durability and functionality.
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency in the workshop.
• Conduct quality checks on frames to ensure they meet industry standards.
• Repair and modify existing furniture frames as needed.
• Communicate with team members to streamline production processes.
• Stay updated on carpentry techniques and trends to improve craftsmanship.
