Job Duties
Rish Consulting is seeking a Computer Systems Manager to oversee and coordinate the company’s information technology systems, services, and operations.
The successful candidate will:
• Oversee and manage the overall functioning of information technology systems and electronic data processing units within the organization.
• Establish, review, and enforce policies and procedures related to IT systems development, data processing, and operational workflows.
• Consult with stakeholders and clients to identify technical needs, define project scope, and determine budgets, timelines, and system specifications.
• Lead and coordinate teams of IT professionals in designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting software applications, network infrastructure, and information systems.
• Monitor and control financial planning, including budgeting and cost management for IT projects and departmental operations.
• Hire, train, mentor, and supervise IT staff such as system analysts, developers, engineers, and technical specialists, ensuring continuous skill development.
• Evaluate current IT systems and recommend upgrades, enhancements, or replacements to improve efficiency, security, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with data security standards, privacy regulations, and organizational IT governance policies.
• Manage system performance by monitoring uptime, troubleshooting issues, and implementing disaster recovery and backup strategies.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for procurement, system integration, and technical support services.
• Develop and implement IT risk management strategies to identify potential system vulnerabilities and ensure business continuity.
• Prepare and present technical reports, performance metrics, and project updates to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, business administration, commerce, engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Several years of experience in systems analysis, data administration, software engineering, network design, computer programming, or a related IT field, including supervisory or management experience.
