ABOUT US

Central Physiotherapy & Massage is a busy, modern multidisciplinary clinic serving Camrose and surrounding communities. Our collaborative team includes physiotherapists, chiropractors, registered massage therapists, a manual osteopath, an acupuncturist, an occupational therapist and a psychologist.

Our clinic offers a supportive team environment, an established patient base and modern rehabilitation technology, including shockwave and laser therapy equipment, spinal decompression and traction equipment, and private treatment rooms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess patients’ physical abilities, functional limitations and rehabilitation needs

  • Examine patients and administer appropriate evaluative tests

  • Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy programs

  • Select and provide therapeutic exercises, manual techniques and rehabilitation interventions

  • Educate patients regarding treatment plans, injury prevention and home exercises

  • Teach and supervise exercises performed by patients

  • Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate

  • Maintain accurate clinical and progress reports

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals

  • Supervise support staff when required

  • Follow professional, privacy, safety and infection-control standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in physiotherapy

  • Eligible for registration and a practice permit with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta

  • Completion of applicable Canadian physiotherapy competency and regulatory requirements

  • Professional liability insurance

  • Experience is an asset; qualified new graduates are welcome

  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
