- Inspect trucks, trailers, heavy-duty equipment and related systems to identify faults, defects and malfunctions.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and other equipment problems using computerized diagnostic tools, testing equipment and other appropriate methods.
- Adjust, repair, rebuild or replace defective parts, components and systems using hand tools, power tools and specialized equipment.
- Perform testing and operational checks on repaired equipment to verify proper performance and ensure compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, servicing and adjusting equipment and components.
- Inspect, service and repair attachments and working equipment, including harvesting and tillage equipment, blades, ploughs, winches and side booms.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on heavy trucks and trailers, as required.
- Complete maintenance and repair activities in accordance with workplace safety procedures, manufacturers’ recommendations and applicable standards.
Education and Experience
- Secondary school completion is preferred.
- 7 Month to 1 year experience required
Physical Environment. / Requirements
- Extended periods of time of sitting or crouching
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Use of power tools.
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, or pulling.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including, days, evening, weekends, and holidays.
