Job Opportunity – Long Haul Truck Driver
Position: Long Haul Truck Driver
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Vacancies: 1
Wage: $37.00 per hour/ 40 to 60 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Delta, BC V4C 2K3
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate large trucks over long distances in compliance with traffic laws and transportation safety regulations.
- Plan routes and obtain required permits and transportation documents.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, as required.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and tarped in accordance with safety requirements.
- Record and maintain accurate documentation of cargo, deliveries, pickups, hours of service, fuel consumption, and mileage.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections, and conduct basic vehicle maintenance and emergency roadside repairs as required.
- Communicate with dispatchers, clients and other drivers regarding delivery schedules, issues and transportation activities.
Employment Requirements
- A valid Class 1 or Class A Driver’s Licence is required.
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Completion of secondary (high) school is required.
- Relevant work experience is considered an asset.
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems for are considered an asset.
- Availability to work early mornings, mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime as required.

- Ability to work in varying weather and road conditions.
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
