Smooth Construction Group Ltd. is currently seeking 2 full-time Brick and Stone Mason to work with their growing team. The candidates must be active, independent, and eager to learn.

Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $38.50 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work location(s): Candidates are required to work at various job locations in Surrey (BC) and other areas in Lower Mainland (BC).

Job Responsibilities

• Read plans and blueprints to calculate materials required.
• Cut, shape, and trim bricks, blocks, and stones to precise measurements using hand and power tools.
• Prepare, position, and lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and related materials to build or repair walls, foundations, and other structures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Build chimneys and fireplaces for residential or commercial buildings using bricks or other masonry units.
• Install bricks, stone, or similar materials to create decorative veneer finishes on walls or other surfaces.
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units

Position Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program in the relevant trade OR three years of work experience in the trade is required.
• English communication skills are required.
