JOB DUTIES
- Discuss upholstery fabric, colour and style with customers
- Provide cost estimates for upholstering furniture and other items
- Replace worn-out webbing, springs and other furniture parts
- Lay out, cut, fabricate and install upholstery
- Tack, glue or sew ornamental trim, braids or buttons
- Operate sewing machines or sew by hand
REQUIREMENTS
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Experience in furniture upholstery and repair
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a combination of sitting, standing and walking
