Job Duties:
The candidate will be responsible for the following jobs and duties:
- Consult with clients to understand their skin care and personal beauty needs and recommend suitable treatments
- Perform professional facial treatments, including cleansing, exfoliation, steaming, extraction and application of skin care products
- Prepare clients and treatment areas before services and provide instructions regarding appropriate post-treatment care
- Perform waxing and other temporary hair-removal services according to client requirements
- Clean, disinfect and properly maintain treatment equipment, implements and work surfaces after each service
- Monitor supplies used during treatments and notify management when products or equipment need to be replenished
- Maintain treatment rooms in a clean, organized and sanitary condition throughout the workday
- Follow established salon procedures relating to sanitation, personal hygiene, client safety and handling of professional skin care products
- Provide courteous customer service, answer client questions regarding treatments and assist with appointment-related inquiries when required
Job Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school education is required
- Previous experience in personal care services is an asset
- Good knowledge of safe handling and use of professional skin care products and equipment
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements
