Job Description:
Job Title: Drywall installer
Location: 14681 107 Avenue, Surrey, BC, V3R 1T9
Wage - $29/hour for 36 to 40 hours per week along with 4% vacation pay
Number of Positions- 1
Employment type – Permanent, full-time
Start date: As soon as possible
Job Requirements:
Education: Completion of secondary school is required
Experience: 1-2 Year of work experience in same field.
Language: English
Job duties:
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
- Read successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
- Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required.
- Measure, cut fit and install drywall sheets.
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
- Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings and metal studs for composition wallboard.
- Install exterior and interior steel studs.
- Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
Work site environment: Dusty, Noisy.
