Responsibilities

Tasks

  • DRIVER MUST complete 20-30 deliveries in one run within 100-250 kms radius of the terminal.
  • DRIVER MUST assist in loading and unloading the pallets for all the pick up and delivery.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Professionalism in customer service
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

  • AZ class license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement

Experience and specialization

Documentation knowledge

  • Accident or incident reports
  • Bill of lading
  • Driver logbook
  • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Maintenance and repair reports
  • Trip reports
