Wage rate: $57.75/hour for 32 to 40 hours/week.

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Job Duties:
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate fleet transportation operations to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of freight across all service locations.
- Lead the implementation and integration of transportation management systems, operational software, and process improvements to support business objectives and operational efficiency.
- Develop, document, maintain, and update operational procedures, process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), routing guidelines, customer service standards, and driver instructions.
- Oversee fleet dispatch, route optimization, equipment allocation, and driver scheduling while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs for drivers, dispatchers, and fleet personnel; establish and support key operational users and mentors to ensure consistent system adoption and operational excellence.
- Promote awareness of process improvement strategies and standardized operating practices across terminals and operational locations.
- Monitor fleet performance, service levels, fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and operational costs; identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce expenses.
- Review operational processes and transportation systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and non-compliance issues, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Track service failures, delays, customer complaints, and operational incidents; conduct root cause analyses and collaborate with management to implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies, including Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA), to enhance service quality, fleet utilization, operational consistency, and customer satisfaction.
- Measure operational non-conformances, evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions, and prepare regular reports on fleet performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Supervise dispatchers, drivers, fleet coordinators, and support staff by assigning duties, monitoring performance, providing coaching, and ensuring adherence to operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with transportation legislation, safety regulations, Hours of Service requirements, vehicle inspections, licensing, and maintenance programs.
- Manage fleet budgets, vendor relationships, maintenance contracts, and operational expenditures while supporting the organization's growth and profitability objectives.
- Foster a culture of leadership, integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the transportation operation.
