Permanent Position: Air Duct Cleaning Technician

Wage Rate: $23.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Work Location: Based at 3070 Kilpatrick Ave, Suite P14, Courtenay, BC V9N 0G7, with work performed at residential and commercial client sites throughout the Comox Valley and surrounding service areas.
Job Duties:
- Inspect residential and commercial air duct and ventilation systems before beginning cleaning services.
- Set up and operate specialized vacuum collection units, negative air machines, air compressors, and other duct cleaning equipment.
- Thoroughly clean the ductwork, vents, registers, grilles, diffusers, and other accessible components of residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Clean furnaces, dryer vents, and other accessible ventilation system components as part of the cleaning service.
- Remove dust, dirt, allergens, lint, and other contaminants from air ducts and ventilation systems while following company procedures and safety standards.
- Perform visual inspections of ductwork and ventilation system components and report any visible damage or maintenance concerns to the supervisor or customer.
- Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment, tools, and company vehicles in good working condition.
- Protect customers' homes and businesses by using appropriate protective materials during service.
- Explain the cleaning process, answer customer questions, and provide professional customer service.
- Complete service reports, work orders, and other required documentation accurately.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Load, unload, and transport cleaning equipment and materials to and from job sites.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete scheduled service appointments efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Requirements:
- English language proficiency.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a specialized cleaner is required.
- Experience in HVAC system cleaning, ventilation systems, and air duct cleaning is preferred.
- Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment is an asset.
