We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Welder (NOC 72106) to join our dedicated team.

Job Details:

Location: 7800 Anvil Way, Surrey, British Columbia, V3W 4H7
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Vacancies: 2 (Two)
Wage: $38.50 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week

Benefits: 4% vacation pay or as per company policy.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school.
  • Completion of a 3- to 4-year apprenticeship program or 3-4 years of related work experience as a welder.
  • Good communication skills in English.

 

Job Duties:

  • Interpret welding process specifications and read welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and work orders.
  • Operate manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated welding equipment to fabricate, assemble, repair, and modify metal parts and products.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and prepare metal materials for fabrication and repair.
  • Determine the weldability of various metals and select appropriate welding methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Examine completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards, engineering specifications, and company requirements.
  • Repair, reinforce, and fabricate roll-off bins used in waste collection and disposal operations.
  • Weld and replace grinder teeth and perform repairs on grinding equipment components to maintain safe and efficient operation.                                                         
  • Perform day-to-day welding repairs on non-mechanical equipment, including bins, containers, frames, and other metal structures.
  • Maintain welding, brazing, and soldering equipment and perform routine inspections and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
