Framer-Carpenter

Location: Various Locations 

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Wage: $36.75 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Overtime wage: $55.13 per hour after 40 hours of work per week, in accordance with the British Columbia Employment Standards Act.

About CKK Homes Ltd.

CKK Homes Ltd. is a residential construction company specializing in new home construction and renovation projects throughout the Lower Mainland. We are looking for a skilled and dependable Framer-Carpenter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will perform framing and general carpentry work while maintaining high standards of workmanship and workplace safety.

Job Duties

  • Review construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Measure, mark, and prepare layouts in accordance with building plans and applicable building codes.
  • Cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, engineered wood products, steel studs, and other construction materials.
  • Construct floor systems, walls, roof structures, and other framing components for residential buildings.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, trim, mouldings, and related carpentry components.
  • Calculate material quantities and assist with estimating labour and material requirements for assigned tasks.
  • Perform repairs, renovations, and structural modifications to existing residential buildings when required.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite while working effectively with supervisors and other trades.

Employment Requirements

  • Completion of secondary (high) school is required.
  • Two to less than three years of experience as a framer, carpenter, or in a related construction trade.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed on-site at various residential construction locations throughout the Lower Mainland.
  • Work at heights and in outdoor environments.
  • Overtime may be required based on project schedules.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
