Responsibilities
Tasks
- Direct, plan, and oversee the daily operations of the grocery, liquor, fuel, and general retail departments.
- Manage staff, assign duties, prepare work schedules, and monitor employee performance.
- Determine merchandise and services to be offered based on customer demand and community needs.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate product ordering, and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Implement pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategies to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
- Plan operating budgets and monitor revenues, expenses, and overall store performance.
- Determine staffing requirements and recruit, hire, train, and supervise store employees.
- Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, supply shortages, and operational issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the continuous availability of essential products and services.
- Oversee cash handling, payroll administration, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, workplace safety, and operational efficiency across all retail operations.
