Job Details

• Position: Dump Truck Driver
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
• Vacancies: 5
• Salary: $36.00 – $40.00 per hour (negotiable)
• Hours: 40–60 hours per week
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Work Location: On the road (frequent travel to various job sites)
• Office Location: 5260 Bradco Boulevard, Mississauga, ON L4W 1G7

Schedule

Work schedules may include:

• Early mornings
• Days
• Evenings
• Nights
• Weekends
• Overtime
• On-call shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport loads to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Record assigned load information, hour of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Ensure that all driving operations comply with company regulations, regulatory agencies guidelines and regulations.
• Load and unload the truck in accordance with safety procedures.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and delivery instructions.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and inspection reports.
• Refuel vehicle and check or replace oil as needed.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, and site personnel as required.
• Keep the truck clean and in good operating condition.
• Perform other duties that may be required or assigned by management.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles is an asset.
• Valid AZ Driver's Licence.
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle inspections.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Requirements

Successful candidates must be able to:

• Pass a criminal record check.
• Pass a driver's abstract and licence verification.
• Complete a medical examination and drug test.
• Obtain basic security clearance.
• Travel overnight and for extended periods when required.
• Lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Work in varying weather and road conditions while maintaining attention to safety and detail.
