Job Title: Truck Driver

As a Truck Driver, the following duties must be performed:
Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions; Address customers' complaints or concerns; Professionalism in customer service; Load and unload goods; Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes; Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials; Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment; Perform brake adjustments; Perform emergency roadside repairs; Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle; Perform preventive maintenance; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption; Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Employment Start Date: ASAP
Wage Rate: $ 36.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full – time, (50 hours per week) Permanent employment
Employment Duration: Term of 2 years
Work Location: Delta, BC
Other requirements:
Language of work: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Will Train
Person should have Class 1 / A licence
