Job Description

• Employer: Private Home – Xiao (Megan) Yang
• Work Location: Toronto, ON M4N 1Z3
• Salary: $ 20.85 hourly 
• Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
• Night Shift Premium: $1.00 per hour (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Schedule: Day, Weekend, Night, Flexible hours
• Additional Benefits: Mileage reimbursed
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Education

•             Training Certificate in Child care provider/assistant or similar field

Experience

•             Minimum 1 year of experience providing child care in a private family setting.

•             Experience gained through training placements, practicums, or volunteer positions will not be considered toward this requirement.

Tasks

•             Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents

•             Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

•             Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents

•             Instruct children in social development

•             Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

•             Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home

•             Organize, activities such as games and outings for children

•             Prepare and serve nutritious meals

•             Prepare for rest periods

•             Supervise and care for children

•             Take children to and from school and to appointments

•             Tend to emotional well-being of children

•             Help children with homework
