Home Support Worker

 

We are looking for a Home Support Worker for a 72-year-old female. Please see the following employment information.

 

Job Details:

1. Salary: $21 per hour
2. Hours: 30 hours per week
3. The employee is required to be flexible to cover shifts, some weekends. Overtime may be required. Hours will vary from day, night and evening.
4. Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent-free
5. Work Location: 360 ELLERSLIE AVE, NORTH YORK, ON M2R1B9

 

Job Duties:

1. Provide bedside and personal care of the senior, assisting with activities such as bathing, dressing, undressing, ambulation, feeding, and medication reminders
2. Maintain a safe, comfortable and caring environment for the senior
3. Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to the senior’s needs and preferences
4. Provide companionship and emotional support to the senior
5. Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties, such as washing dishes, keeping the room clean, etc.
6. Keep proper care records and report changes to the family
7. Keep good communication with the family and supervisors regarding the senior’s condition

 

Requirements:

1. Completion of Secondary (High) School education is required
2. Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset
3. First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate would be an asset
4. Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
