Wage: $38.00 per Hour/ 32 to 36 hours per week
Start: As soon as possible
Language Requirements: English
Education: Secondary school completion.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in bricklaying, masonry, or a related trade
Responsibilities
- Prepare and install bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, or various other masonry materials.
- Calculate and project the necessary materials, tools, and equipment needed for specific assignments.
- Apply veneer facing by laying stone, brick, or comparable materials.
- Assemble and set up prefabricated masonry components.
- Interpret blueprints and sketches to determine and quantify the required materials.
- Perform tasks at elevated heights, utilizing scaffolding or swing stages safely.
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to precise specifications using both hand and power tools.
- Build chimneys and fireplaces for both residential and commercial buildings by laying bricks or alternative masonry units.
- Oversee and direct the work of other team members.
- Restore, clean, or apply paint to pre-existing masonry structures.
