Job Description
- Harvest blueberries at the appropriate stage of maturity to ensure quality and freshness
- Hand-pick blueberries carefully to avoid bruising or damage to crops and surrounding plants
- Sort, grade, and pack blueberries based on size, ripeness, and quality standards
- Inspect harvested blueberries and remove any damaged, overripe, or substandard fruit
- Assist with basic crop care tasks including pruning, weeding, and general blueberry plant maintenance
- Support irrigation activities by setting, adjusting, and monitoring water lines as required
- Help maintain proper growing conditions by monitoring field conditions and overall crop health
- Load, unload, and transport harvested blueberries and farm supplies within the work site
- Clean and maintain work areas, tools, harvesting containers, and equipment to ensure hygiene and food safety standards
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and carry out tasks as directed by the supervisor
