Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Tasks

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine ventilation system layouts and installation requirements.
  • Measure, mark, and lay out sheet metal materials according to project specifications and ventilation designs.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and modify sheet metal components including ducts, fittings, elbows, transitions, plenums, dampers, Parkade ductwork, and exhaust systems.
  • Cut, bend, shape, and form sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Install, align, and secure ventilation ductwork, Parkade duct systems, exhaust duct systems, fresh-air intake systems, and related components in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Connect and seal duct sections using approved fastening and sealing methods to ensure proper airflow and system efficiency.
  • Install and assist in the commissioning of exhaust fans, heat recovery ventilators (HRVs), fan coil units, grilles, diffusers, registers, dampers, and other ventilation equipment.
  • Inspect completed ductwork and ventilation installations to ensure proper fit, alignment, support, airflow, and compliance with applicable building codes and project specifications.
  • Repair, replace, and modify existing ventilation ductwork, Parkade systems, exhaust systems, and related sheet metal components as required for renovation and retrofit projects.
  • Operate and maintain sheet metal fabrication equipment and tools, including shears, brakes, rollers, drills, grinders, and fastening tools.
  • Load, unload, transport, and organize sheet metal materials, fabricated components, tools, and equipment at job sites.
  • Follow health and safety procedures while working at heights, on ladders, scaffolds, rooftops, and in varying weather conditions, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
