Responsibilities
Tasks
- Implement Treatment Programs: Follow through on structured treatment plans under the explicit direction of overseeing medical professionals and therapists to assist patients with physical rehabilitation or specific therapies.
- Administer Evaluative Tests: Run diagnostic and evaluative tests using specialized clinic equipment. Instruct patients clearly on testing procedures, monitor their status, and accurately record the results.
- Exercise Guidance: Teach and supervise therapeutic or rehabilitative exercises to patients, ensuring proper form, safety, and adherence to prescribed routines.
- Assess and Record Progress: Assist physicians and therapists in evaluating patients' baseline physical abilities, tracking changes, and meticulously documenting rehabilitation progress in patient files.
- Vital Signs & Basic Medical Care: Measure and record patient vital signs, clean and dress localized wounds if required, and carefully apply or adjust minor supportive dressings or bands.
- Equipment Setup and Calibration: Set up, calibrate, and check therapeutic or technical equipment before patient sessions, and safely dismantle it afterward.
- Sanitization & Sterilization: Reassemble equipment and assemble sterilized packs of supplies, ensuring all treatment rooms and instruments strictly adhere to medical cleanliness and sanitization standards.
- Inventory Control: Maintain organized inventories of clinic supplies, medications, and pharmaceutical or treatment products. Reorder items proactively to avoid service disruptions.
- Case Conferencing: Actively communicate and confer with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals (including physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialized therapists) regarding changes in a patient's physical condition or response to care.
- Staff Coordination: Supervise technical or clinical support staff as needed to ensure daily patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Administrative Diligence: Gather comprehensive general patient medical histories, manage specialized documentation, and maintain a high level of professionalism and personal presentation in a private, client-focused care environment.
