Job Description
Triple Eight Transport Inc. is looking for 20 Long Haul Truck Drivers for full-time permanent position. The starting wage will be determined following an assessment of the successful candidate's experience operating tractor-trailers, Driving Record, Industry knowledge, and ability to perform the duties of the position. Tasks
Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailor and long-combination vehicles to transport goods and materials over long distances, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Perform preventive maintenance, Receive and relay information to central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
